Season 12: New teams, new league structure
Veröffentlicht am 18.Feb.2017 - ProLeague PC Fokus von Fredchen777 - 9451 mal gelesen

For season 12 there will be a general restructuring going on: Instead of two leagues with upwards and downwards relegation we will separate the leagues into the "ProLeague International" and the "International Superleague". The ProLeague International will be handled by the previous INT1 admin Mikael and the International Superleague will be handled by both me and a new admin Pitchel.

What's the new structure?

We will still have two leagues with 14 teams each. There will not be any relegation between the leagues since they're completely separate, but if teams that could receive our iFVPA slots participate in the International Superleague one season, they can apply to join the ProLeague International for the next season.

Here are the deadlines for the matches to be played (twice there'll be three matches to be played in one week instead of two and there'll be a skipped weekend due to Easter holidays):

Date ProLeague International & International Superleague
06.03. - 12.03. 1 & 2
13.03. - 19.03. 3 & 4
20.03. - 26.03.

5 & 6

27.03. - 02.04. 7, 8 & 9
03.04 - 09.04. 10 & 11
10.04. - 23.04. 12 & 13
24.04. - 30.04. 14 & 15
01.05. - 07.05. 16 & 17
08.05. - 14.05. 18, 19 & 20
15.05. - 21.05. 21 & 22
22.05. - 28.05. 23 & 24
29.05. - 04.06. 25 & 26

What is the ProLeague International?

All teams that participate in the ProLeague International will be eligible to receive the iFVPA CL and EL slots. Only teams that are not able to play in any other league with iFVPA slots are allowed to participate in the ProLeague International. For example, Polish teams can't participate, because they're able to receive iFVPA slots through FVPA Poland. French teams are allowed to participate in the ProLeague International, because there no longer is a FVPA France through which they could receive iFVPA slots. For more information if your team is eligible to receive iFVPA slots in the ProLeague, please contact JonnyEsbeck.

The following teams were already part of the last season of ProLeague and are also eligible to receive the iFVPA CL and EL slots:

  •  Las Estrellas (former International FC)
  •  Overtime eSport
  •  Ace of Spades
  •  Nativ Energy
  •  Eu tu e a bola
  •  Cixers eSport
  •  Fifa Mugs
  •  LH Academy
  •  Unshackled

They are eligible because they're either European, French or from Great Britain. Joining these nine teams in the ProLeague International for season 12 will be these five teams:  FC Levski 2011,  EuroNation,  TeamPlayerz,  DyB Devils and  Tangerine Dream.

What about the International Superleague?

The International Superleague will contain "all other teams", meaning both teams that could participate in another league with iFVPA CL or EL slots and teams from the ProLeague International that didn't fit into the 14 teams restriction. They will also get 4 FVPA eSport Champions League and 4 FVPA eSport Europe League slots. Please note that teams participating in either the FVPA eSport Ligue Premium or the FVPA eSport Arab Premier League will not be eligible for these FVPA eSport CL or EL slots (these teams are marked with a large (X)). From last season, this will include the following teams:

  •  Symphony (X)
  •  Steel GaminG (former Speranza eSport) (X)
  •  ObstruXion (X)
  •  ShutUpAndPlay
  •  Inception
  •  One Energy

Joining these teams for season 12 will be  Reborn eSport (X),  CHILLOUT,  Musashi FC,  DarKs PanTHerS,  SevenUp,  Last Samurai,  Romania Pro Gamers and  JUGONES TEAM. Keep in mind that participating in the International Superleague will give you the highest priority if you're going to apply for the ProLeague International in the next season.

The ProLeague Cup

As with every season, every team will also participate in the ProLeague Cup. Every team, both from the German leagues and the International ones, will participate. All of these teams except for the twelve best German teams from season 11 and the twelve best International teams from season 11 will be playing out the preliminary round. Since there are 104 teams in total, this means that there will be 40 winners. They will be joined by the 24 aforementioned teams to be randomed into a round of 64 knock out bracket. The deadlines for the Cup matches are as follows:

  • preliminaries: until 12.03.
  • round of 64: until 26.03.
  • round of 32: until 09.04.
  • round of 16: until 23.04.
  • quarter-finals: until 07.05.
  • semi-finals: until 21.05.
  • finals: until 11.06.

I added team nationalities for all league teams, just in case anyone was afraid that the Superleague will be too one-sided.
